These terms apply when you use MaldivesQuest.com.my, its tools and our replies to trip briefs. By using the site you agree to them.

1. About MaldivesQuest

MaldivesQuest is an independent Maldives travel research and trip-planning website for people in Malaysia. It publishes guides, price research and free planning tools, and replies to trip briefs with options and an itemised view of likely costs.

Bookings and payments are made directly with the licensed travel company named on your quotation. That company is responsible for the travel services it sells, under its own booking terms. More detail is on about MaldivesQuest.

2. Informational nature of content

Our guides are general information to help you plan. They are not personal legal, medical, immigration or financial advice.

Rules such as visa conditions, taxes and transfer limits are set by official bodies and can change. Confirm anything critical to your trip with the official source we cite, the airline or the property before you travel.

3. Price research is not an offer

Prices on the site, in tools and in our planning replies are research-based estimates. Each shows the date it was researched and its basis, such as per person twin sharing or per room per night.

They are not offers, quotations or promises of availability. A firm, bookable price comes only from a quotation issued by the licensed travel company. The difference is set out in how we distinguish package research from a bookable quotation.

4. Accuracy and corrections

We check facts against official sources and show a "Last reviewed" date on every page. Even so, details can change between reviews.

If you spot an error, tell us. We correct pages promptly and note the change, as described in our corrections and dispute policy.

5. Links to third parties

We link to official bodies, airlines, resorts and other websites so you can check facts at the source. Those sites are run by others, under their own terms and privacy policies.

A link is there to help you verify information. It is not an endorsement of everything on that site, and we have no control over its content or availability.

6. Intellectual property and photo licences

The text, tables, tools and design of MaldivesQuest belong to MaldivesQuest. You may share links and quote short passages with a link back to the page.

Photos are from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons or public domain licences. Each is credited on the image with its author and licence, and remains subject to that licence. Our photo attribution policy explains how credits are shown.

7. Acceptable use

Please use the site and enquiry routes for genuine trip planning. You agree not to:

• send false, misleading or someone else's details in a trip brief;
• copy or republish substantial parts of the site, or scrape it automatically;
• attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site;
• use the site or enquiry routes to send spam or unlawful content.

8. Limitation of liability

We take care to keep content accurate and useful. To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, MaldivesQuest is not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information, price research or third-party websites.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Malaysian law, or your rights as a consumer. Responsibility for booked travel services rests with the licensed travel company that issued the booking.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute about them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last reviewed" date at the top shows when they last changed, and significant changes are noted in our corrections log.
