What does a holiday on Rasdhoo cost?

Rasdhoo is a mid-priced local island to stay on. The costs that really move a Rasdhoo budget are the number of dives and the length of stay.

What do 3 nights on Rasdhoo cost for two?

Room, taxes, Green Tax and return speedboats come to about USD 349 to USD 699 for a couple, or RM 1,427 to RM 2,859. That excludes flights, meals beyond breakfast, diving and other trips.

How the room band was built: USD 50 reflects the low end of Wikivoyage's older guesthouse listing, USD 80 is a 2026 listed starting rate for a 10-room Rasdhoo guesthouse, and USD 120 sits inside the local-island band of USD 60 to 180 from holiday.com.mv (checked 11 Oct 2026). It is a planning range, not a rate card.

How the taxes add up

Service charge of 10% is added to the room, then 17% Tourism GST on that total: 1.10 x 1.17 = 1.287. Green Tax of USD 6 per guest per night is added separately, and children under 2 are exempt.

A 5-night diver example per person

Divers usually stay longer on Rasdhoo, so here is a 5-night mid-room case for one person sharing a room.

1. Room: USD 80 x 5 nights x 1.287 = USD 515 per room, or about USD 257 per person.
2. Green Tax: USD 6 x 5 nights = USD 30 per person.
3. Speedboat: USD 40 x 2 ways = USD 80 per person.
4. Subtotal: USD 257 + 30 + 80 = USD 367, or about RM 1,501 at RM 4.09.
5. Add the cheapest KUL return seen on Traveloka on 11 Oct 2026, RM 1,155, possibly without checked bags.
6. Total before meals and diving: about RM 2,656 per person.

Diving then sits on top. We found no current dated price list, so ask centres for a package price for the number of dives you want, and check whether equipment, boat fees and GST are included.

Money on the island

A 2026 guide reports a 24-hour Bank of Maldives ATM that dispenses rufiyaa, up to about MVR 10,000 per withdrawal with a fee of about MVR 100. Your Malaysian bank may add its own fee and exchange margin.

Many cafes are cash only or set card minimums. Bring some small US dollar notes as a backup.

What moves the number most

• Diving: a dive package can cost more than the room for the whole stay.
• Nights: more nights spread the fixed boat cost, which suits dive trips.
• Speedboat operator: listed fares vary by about USD 20 per person each way.
• Meal plan: half board avoids paying cafe prices for every meal.
• Season: the drier December to April months tend to be busier.
