What does a holiday on Fulidhoo cost?

Fulidhoo is one of the easier local islands to budget, because there is little to spend on beyond your room, the boat and a few trips. This page builds the cost line by line so you can check every figure.

What do 3 nights on Fulidhoo cost for two?

Room, taxes, Green Tax and return speedboats come to about USD 428 to USD 659 for a couple, or RM 1,751 to RM 2,695. That excludes flights, meals beyond breakfast and excursions.

The room band comes from 2025 to 2026 island guides, which put Fulidhoo guesthouses at about USD 60 to 120 per night. It is a planning range, not a rate card. Check whether your quote already includes service charge and GST, because some guesthouses quote inclusive prices.

How the taxes add up

Service charge of 10% is added to the room, then 17% Tourism GST is charged on that total: 1.10 x 1.17 = 1.287. Green Tax of USD 6 per guest per night is added separately, and under-2s are exempt.

What does the transfer add?

The return shared speedboat for two costs about USD 160, or RM 654. That is the second biggest line after the room on a short stay.

A 4-night example per person, with flights

Four nights is a comfortable length for Fulidhoo. Here is the mid-room case for one person sharing a room.

1. Room: USD 90 x 4 nights x 1.287 = USD 463 per room, or about USD 232 per person.
2. Green Tax: USD 6 x 4 nights = USD 24 per person.
3. Speedboat: USD 40 x 2 ways = USD 80 per person.
4. Subtotal: USD 232 + 24 + 80 = USD 336, or about RM 1,374 at RM 4.09.
5. Add the cheapest KUL return seen on Traveloka on 11 Oct 2026, RM 1,155 per person, possibly without checked bags.
6. Total before meals and excursions: about RM 2,529 per person.

Meals, trips and cash

Breakfast is usually included. Many guesthouses also sell half board or full board, which is worth asking about on such a small island.

One 2026 island guide gives about USD 5 to 15 per person for a local meal, and about USD 50 to 100 per person per day for spending outside the room. Treat both as planning ranges only.

We found no dated operator price list for snorkelling trips, sandbank picnics or resort day visits. Ask your guesthouse for prices before you arrive, then carry enough US dollars in small notes, since there is no ATM on the island.

What moves the number most

• Room choice: sea-view rooms and newer guesthouses sit at the top of the band.
• Nights: more nights spread the fixed boat cost.
• Meal plan: half board can be simpler than paying cafe prices each night.
• Trips: a resort day visit or several dives can add more than the room.
• Season: the drier December to April months are usually busier and dearer.

Who this budget suits

This budget suits couples, friends and older travellers who want 3 to 5 calm nights and do not need many paid activities. A family of four should add Green Tax for each child over 2 and check whether a family room is priced per room or per person.
